Shaker Museum invites the public to participate in a community engagement project, “Call for Woodwork: In Union, Remotely,” by creating and submitting woodwork pieces for this online showcase. All submissions should draw inspiration from the Shakers’ values or way of life, which the participants can learn more about in Shaker Museum’s comprehensive online collection.

Woodworkers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities are encouraged to submit clear digital images of their work by midnight on March 15, 2021. The submissions will be displayed online through the Museum’s social media channels from March 26, 2021 - September 31, 2021.

Registration ahead of submission is encouraged. Registered participants will receive special assistance in exploring the online collection, access to suggested readings, and invitations to Zoom events to meet other woodworkers to share inspiration and camaraderie.
